When initiating your Hopps session you may first be prompted by your web browser to allow the site access to your microphone and camera. Click "allow" to enable access.
Just before entering your session, the system will prompt you to select which of the audio and video devices available on your system to use. This may include your machine's internal devices or external headphones or microphones. Be sure to select the device options that you have connected and plan to use during your session.
Once you have been matched with an expert and your session begins, the video player will appear with a toolbar located at the bottom of the session page. When you join the session your camera and microphone may be toggled off depending on your previous option selections and indicated by a red background and line through the corresponding icon in the toolbar. Whenever you are ready to share your video and audio with your Expert, click the microphone and camera icons to turn them on.
If you need to mute your mic or pause your video at any point during the session, simply click the icon to toggle off.
